Tim
Dillin farms 1,500 acres in partnership with his dad and his wife, Julie,
producing barley, wheat, canola, alfalfa and garbonzo beans in Boundary
County, about nine miles south of the Canadian border.
In 2010, Mr. Dillin produced feed barley and a new high beta-glucan
food barley (WestBred’s variety BG006).
Mr. Dillin was appointed to serve a three-year term on the Idaho
Barley Commission in July 2010, representing barley producers in northern
region of Idaho. He has been a
long-time leader in the Idaho grain industry, serving as an officer of the
Idaho Grain Producers Association (IGPA) from 2003 to 2008 and as president
of the IGPA in 2007. Tim served
on the board of the National Barley Growers Association from 2003 to 2008.
